New Exhibition of Oil Paintings by Taos Artist
ELI WALTERS
A Southwest Revision
July 9th - September 19th, 2026
Opening Reception - Saturday / July 11th / 5pm - 7pm
Introducing a new body of oil paintings engaging the long tradition of Southwestern landscape painting. Walters reinterprets mesas, desert skies, and river valleys with striking color and a distinctly contemporary sensibility.
“My current work is using the backdrop of northern New Mexico to explore the ideas of time and pictorial space. The paintings have become less of an immediate reaction to the landscape and more of a recollection of composition and color that is built, destroyed, and rebuilt over time. Large forms, lines, and marks have become the answer to problems and the simplification of extended periods of observation.”
MoMo Santa Fe
MoMo Santa Fe is a contemporary gallery space dedicated to showcasing a thoughtfully curated mix of New Mexican artists alongside exceptional artisans from around the world. As the second gallery venture by owner and local jeweler Moriah Stanton, the gallery builds on the vision established by MoMo Galleries in Taos—creating a dynamic, ever-evolving environment where diverse forms of craftsmanship and artistic expression intersect.
MoMo Santa Fe presents a wide range of disciplines, including fine jewelry, ceramic art, textiles, baskets, finely handcrafted furniture, and small-production sustainable clothing. With an emphasis on artistry, material integrity, and distinctive design, the gallery highlights both regional makers and international artisans whose work reflects a deep commitment to craft.
